Co-Living and Co-Working Complex Integration of parametric design, digital fabrication and VR

To apply algorithm and mathematical theory in 3 or 4 dimensions, we will obtain spatial effects to be able to rethink architectural behavior, structure and construction. Although, 2D drawings are always just as helpful in their own way, by using design programs, we can create various design techniques, and the process is much more efficient. A 3D digital tool with interactive and parametric design will provide a complex with which we can release ourselves from our fixed concepts. Our phasing will be based on the next 3 steps.

Phase 1
To acquire the basic literacy of 3D digital tools;
BIM(Revit), Visual Programming(Dynamo), 3D Modeling(Rhino) and etc.
Students will conduct the basic training of Revit and Dynamo as a digital tool. You are required to submit your progress or results at the end of each session. Students will try to explore the possibility of 3D design using the above tool and apply it to the 3D printer. Students will study the possibility of the alternative designs using 3D printers.

Phase 2
Transferring 3D modeling into 3D printers and virtual reality. Students will be given higher level assignments to apply to their acquired skills based on 3D models. Students will develop their skills to apply in architectural building simulations.

Phase3
To design a real building on a real site. Students will apply their digital design skills acquired in the above process to the real building design. Students will learn appropriate rendering tools to express their design in the drawing.
